![]() ![]() * Provide referrals to education and job training resources, including vocational training programs, HiSET/ESOL, and college certificate and degree programs * Offer one-on-one services including resume and cover letter development, job search support, interviewing prep and practice, and managing workplace culture/employers' expectations. * Provide high-quality, individualized career coaching and confidence-building to low-income adults * Provide continuous follow-up and support to participants to deepen engagementĬareer Mentoring duties (30%) will include: * Track information and outcomes in database systems * Attend EMPath community meetings, program meetings and other events as needed * Conduct outreach to candidates in person and by phone and email * Promote awareness of MMC services and other benefits, as well as expectations and requirements * Conduct outreach, recruitment, and engagement of participants interested in receiving MMC services * Collaborate and engage with EMPath housing mentors and shelter program participants to identify Mobility Mentoring Center candidates Outreach/Recruitment duties (70%) will include: Location: MMC is based in downtown Boston, but travel between multiple program sites within the Greater Boston area is expected. Hours: Full-time must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings (until 7:30pm) as needed to accommodate participants' schedules, within a 40 hour work week. The MMC Outreach Mentor will also provide career support to participants and work with them to identify, obtain, and retain sustainable employment, education, and training opportunities. The Outreach Mentor will assist and support EMPath's community outreach and recruitment efforts for all MMC initiatives. MMC also provides training to EMPath staff and participants to increase their knowledge in these areas, and its specialists work with individuals who receive one-on-one coaching and referrals to robust community resources that will help them and their families get ahead. The Mobility Mentoring Center Outreach Coordinator position is a key member of the Mobility Mentoring Center team (MMC), which is made up of specialists with expertise in employment, education, and financial literacy, as well as other skills to help low-income families set and attain goals to move them along the pathway to economic independence.
